El Paso-area veterinary recruiting coverage

An El Paso veterinary search works best when the hospital address comes before the city label. The City of El Paso, the smaller cities and towns of El Paso County, census designated places and the Ysleta del Sur Pueblo are different workplaces under different local governments. Business Executive Group uses the employer’s role, schedule and location to scope a permanent search.

Define the actual hospital location

Name the street address, municipality and county, and keep City of El Paso neighborhoods separate from the communities around it. The City divides itself into five planning areas, Socorro, Horizon City, San Elizario, Clint, Anthony and Vinton are separate incorporated places, and Canutillo, Fabens and Tornillo are census designated places without city governments. Anthony, Texas shares its name with Anthony, New Mexico. Coverage on this site is limited to Texas; a hospital in New Mexico or Mexico falls under a different licensing authority or country.

Keep the working pattern attached to the location

Give the hiring team one brief for each facility, with clinical work, technician delegation, language needs and location commitments stated together. Texas asks veterinarians for 17 hours of continuing education every year, so state the support the practice provides. O*NET OnLine, using Bureau of Labor Statistics 2025 wage data, lists an El Paso area median annual wage for veterinarians below the Texas and national medians and a lowest-tenth wage above both, which is context candidates may bring to an offer. Texas A&M and Texas Tech each operate a college of veterinary medicine in the state, and the Texas Board requires every new graduate to hold a Texas license before practicing. This site describes employer hiring coverage without claiming an El Paso recruiting office.

Discuss the actual search coverage

Locations describe employer inquiry coverage, not separate recruiting offices or existing clients. Business Executive Group reviews the role and location before confirming an engagement. Final service scope, fees and screening responsibilities are agreed with the employer.

For the wider engagement, review our veterinary recruiting services and the employer search process.

Central El Paso

The City of El Paso’s Central planning area holds the downtown core and the older neighborhoods around it. The City’s historic district layer lists Downtown, Sunset Heights, Chihuahuita, Magoffin and Manhattan Heights as separate districts, and its neighborhood association layer places the Kern Place and Five Points associations in the Central area. Give the street address and the neighborhood before describing a central role, and keep a Kern Place site apart from a Downtown site even when one group runs both.

West and northwest El Paso

The City of El Paso’s Northwest planning area covers the west side of the city, and its neighborhood association layer lists the West Side Civic Association, Coronado Hills, Upper Valley, Mesa Hills and Upper Mesa Hills there. Canutillo and the communities west of the city are separate Census places, so state whether the hospital is inside the City limits. Keep a West Side address apart from an Upper Valley or Mesa Hills address.

West El Paso County

Canutillo, Westway and Prado Verde are census designated places, Anthony is an incorporated town and Vinton is an incorporated village, all in El Paso County. Anthony, Texas shares its name with Anthony, New Mexico, which is a separate city in Doña Ana County under a different licensing authority. Give the street address and the state for each role in this group.

Northeast and east El Paso

Northeast and East are two of the five planning areas the City of El Paso uses, and Horizon City is a separate incorporated place in El Paso County with its own government. Homestead Meadows North and South and Butterfield are census designated places, and Fort Bliss is a separate Census place and a federal installation. Give the hospital’s street address and keep a private practice address apart from any address on post.

Lower Valley and Mission Valley

The City of El Paso’s Mission Valley planning area includes the El Paso Lower Valley Association, and Socorro, San Elizario and Clint are separate incorporated places in El Paso County. Fabens, Tornillo, Sparks, Morning Glory and Agua Dulce are census designated places without city governments, the association layer lists Lomaland in the Mission Valley area, and Ysleta del Sur Pueblo describes itself as a federally recognized tribe and sovereign nation. Give the hospital’s street address and keep each community separate.

Check the work location and recruiting scope.

Use the City of El Paso planning area data service, the City of El Paso neighborhood association data service, the Census Bureau Texas place-by-county file and the Census Bureau 2025 Gazetteer for Texas places to distinguish municipalities, neighborhoods and the actual work address. County and city websites also describe their boundaries. Confirm the actual hospital address with the employer, especially in communities that are not incorporated and in towns that share a name with a place in New Mexico.

Plan Texas credential checks before the start date.

Use the Texas Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners license lookup for the relevant professional record. Texas licenses veterinarians and licensed veterinary technicians through the Texas Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners, and one Texas license applies in every county. Assign a person to verify license status and the expiration date, record the verification date and resolve questions with the Board. Check any additional specialty credentials required by the employer with the issuing organization.

For a candidate moving from another state, review the Texas veterinary licensing requirements. Do not treat an out-of-state license or a preferred start date as confirmation that Texas requirements are satisfied. Texas requires the online State Board Exam for every license category, and the Board says employment offers to unlicensed candidates should be contingent on obtaining a Texas license. The Board determines eligibility and timing; BEGHR does not issue licenses.

For continuing education and license types, see the Texas continuing education requirements and the Texas DVM license requirements and the Texas LVT license requirements.

How milestone billing works

Follow the search.
Understand each invoice.

Recruiting is billed for work performed within your agreed fee range, with progress reviewed at defined search stages. BEGHR manages your account and invoices; the recruiting team handles sourcing, screening and candidate delivery.

  1. 01

Kick off and agree the billing plan

Define the role, clinical requirements and candidate profile. Confirm the fee, billable milestones, invoice schedule and payment terms in your client agreement before work starts.

  2. 02

    Build qualified candidate leads

The recruiting team sources prospects and screens them against your brief. Weekly calibration reviews candidate quality, the pipeline and any changes needed to the sourcing strategy.

  3. 03

    Approve candidates; billing begins

Review qualified candidates and confirm which meet your criteria before interviews. BEGHR’s published process starts billing after applicants are sent; your agreement defines the billable work, milestones and amounts.

  4. 04

    Interview, select and hire

The recruiter coordinates interviews, candidate communication and offer support. You select the hire. BEGHR invoices on your agreed cadence, at least monthly during billable service delivery.

Know what you are paying for.

This is hourly, pay-as-you-go recruiting within an agreed fee range, billed as work progresses. Completed billable work may be payable even if no placement is made. Your client agreement sets the range, billable milestones, amounts and due dates.

Employer questions

Veterinary recruiting questions

How does milestone billing work?

Agree the role, estimated fee range, billable milestones and payment terms before the search begins. Recruiting uses an hourly, pay-as-you-go model within the agreed range. BEGHR’s published placement process starts billing after applicants are sent. Invoices follow the agreed cadence, at least monthly during billable service delivery. BEGHR handles client billing and account questions.

Do we pay if a search does not result in a hire?

Milestone billing pays for agreed work as the search progresses, so completed billable milestones may still be payable without a placement. Your client agreement specifies the billing triggers, amounts, due dates and any cancellation terms.

Where can we see our placement price?

Select your role, complete the hiring questions and submit your employer contact details through the pricing form to receive an estimated fee range. BEGHR confirms the role classification, final fee and payment milestones before you engage the service.

How long does placement take?

BEGHR’s placement timeframe is 23–55 days. Timing depends on the role, candidate availability and the employer’s hiring process.

How does BEGHR pricing compare with contingency recruiting?

BEGHR offers placement at typically 50% less than contingency recruiting and 50% off second and subsequent hires for the same role. Use the pricing form for an estimate and confirm your fee and repeat-hire eligibility before starting.

What fill rate does BEGHR report?

BEGHR reports 86% fill rate on active searches across its placement service. This provider-wide figure is not a city-specific or veterinary-only result and does not guarantee an individual hiring outcome.

Who receives my employer inquiry?

Business Executive Group receives your contact information, selected roles, qualification answers, placement estimate and the originating website and page through its existing BEGHR lead intake. This is an employer inquiry, not a candidate job application.

How are placement fees confirmed?

The instant-pricing form uses BEGHR’s role categories and current retail ranges to show an estimate after you submit your employer details. The provider confirms the actual category, scope, payment milestones and commercial terms before a search engagement begins.

Does a listed community have a separate recruiting office?

No. Community coverage describes the location of a potential employer search. It does not represent a local office, an existing client or a claim that a candidate is already available.
